ESTUDO COMPARATIVO DA EFETIVIDADE DAS TÉCNICAS DE CLAREAMENTO DENTÁRIO – REVISÃO DE LITERATURA

Resumo
Introdução: O clareamento dental é um dos procedimentos mais realizados nos consultórios com o intuito de melhorar a aparência do sorriso. Esse procedimento pode ser realizado através da técnica de clareamento em consultório ou clareamento caseiro, ambas supervisionadas pelo cirurgião dentista. Para a execução das técnicas utiliza-se o peróxido de hidrogênio ou o peróxido de carbamida em diferentes concentrações. Objetivo: Esse estudo tem como objetivo compreender e avaliar as técnicas de clareamento dental, através de uma abordagem comparativa das mesmas. Metodologia: Foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico sistematizado, com o propósito de conseguir informações para melhor fundamentação do trabalho. Resultados: Cinco artigos foram qualificados para serem utilizados nesse estudo, dos quais apenas quatro foram de fato aproveitados. Os resultados foram organizados em uma tabela. Considerações finais: Após a análise dos estudos que foram incluídos na revisão, constatou-se que não houve diferença significativa nos resultados obtidos a partir da utilização das duas técnicas, sendo ambas eficazes e satisfatórias. Embora, alguns estudos descrevam maior sensibilidade no clareamento dentário realizado em consultório, nesta pesquisa, os resultados obtidos ao término do tratamento foram similares, sendo duradouros e eficazes

Abstract
Introduction Tooth whitening is one of the most common procedures performed in offices with the aim of improving the appearance of the smile. This procedure can be performed using the in-office bleaching technique or at-home bleaching, both supervised by the dentist. To carry out the techniques, hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide is used in different ways. Objective: This study aims to evaluate and evaluate tooth whitening techniques through a comparative approach. Methodology: A systematic bibliographic survey was carried out, with the purpose of obtaining information to better substantiate the work. Results: Five articles were considered to be used in this study, of which only four were actually used. The results were organized in a table. Final considerations: After analyzing the studies that were included in the review, it was found that there was no difference in the results obtained from the use of the two techniques, both being effective and satisfactory. Although, some studies describe greater sensitivity in dental whitening performed in the office, in this research, the results obtained at the end of treatment were similar, being long-lasting and effective.
